Different than a Private Survey, a Public Survey is accessible and can be taken by anyone with the Survey URL. A Public Survey is intended to be used by Survey Loop customers who do not have a defined list of individuals they would like to send the survey to.
When the Public Survey is published, a publicly accessible (but not indexed for search) URL is exposed, which can be customized for your needs in the Survey Editor, and then distributed via channels such as:
Your company's own email tools
Sharing on social channels
Sharing through your own SMS/RCS tools
Creating a Public Survey begins just like creating a Private Survey in Survey Loop.
1. Navigate to "Manage Surveys."
2. Click "New Survey" and give your new survey a name.
3. Look for the "Is Survey Public" toggle, and toggle it on
4. Build the content of your survey. Public Surveys can be emailed to a list through our platform as well, just like Private Surveys are. As you're building the content of your Survey and the associated email content, keep that in mind.
5. Customize the URL associated with your Public Survey, if desired
6. Decide whether your Public Survey is Anonymous. An Anonymous Public Survey is accessible to anyone who has the URL, but does not ask for a name and email address of the survey respondent. A standard Public Survey begins by asking the survey respondent for their name and email address.
7. Publish your survey, test it, and start sending it out!
